Blessed be Your name when the sun is shining down on me,
When the world’s all as it should be,
Blessed be Your name.
And blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering,
Though there’s pain in the offering blessed be Your name.
My heart will choose to say, “Lord, blessed be Your name.”

Jesus, thank You. Blessed be Your name.

I'm not sure what I am learning, but I'll bet it is going to be something really good. I rarely have this much angst and emotion. Something great is going to come out of it.

Bless the name of the Lord.

A funny from the trip:
In Chicago, me and my MS/HS boys were walking Michigan Avenue when we came up on a street show that was just beginning. It was a bunch of Jamaican guys talking really loud. We hung out for a minute as the crowd kept gathering and we ended up right in front. Well, they started doing a bunch of acrobatics – flips, jumps – real crowd-pleasers. We laughed, clapped, whistled, ooh-ed and aah-ed. For the finale, the head Jamaican needed volunteers. He came over and tried to grab Johnny VN, but Johnny would have no part of this. He just stood there, shaking his head. He turned red. We egged him on – the crowed yelled, c’mon! etc.. SO incredibly tense for Johnny – so hilarious for us.
I am a fan of the awkward, tense situation, I guess.
And actually, I am very much like Johnny – I love attention on my terms. I get very nervous about being cast into the spotlight by surprise. Oh well – I guess it is hilarious for everyone else when I am ultra-uncomfortable. Life is funny that way.

I have much to report about the mission trip and other adventures. I feel like rambling, so there will be some random posts coming. I'll try to just keep adding to this.

Proverb for this morning:
Where there is no wood, the fire goes out. And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases. (26.20) Wow.

As for this morning's adventures, well, I'm not quite sure what to say. You boys are extremely goofy. Actually, I'm honored. And no vandalism. Way to go.
Drewman, you may have advanced a level in your training. Mitchell, perhaps you should be accepted into the program.
